Michael L. Grossman joined the firm in February, 2011 following a brief stint as a solo practitioner.  Michael earned his B.A. in philosophy from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, during which time he earned over a dozen top speaker awards and tournament championships as a nationally ranked member of the university debate team.

While a law student at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, he served as President of the C-M National Lawyers Guild for three years, and was twice awarded the Cleveland-Marshall Public Service Award.  During this time, Michael volunteered as assistant debate coach for a highly competitive John Carroll University policy debate team.  Michael’s exceptional success and experience as an intercollegiate debater and coach was a precursor to his outstanding oral and written argumentation skills in the courtroom.

Michael’s commitment to his community and the pursuit of justice throughout his professional and academic careers is beyond reproach.  He has been an active volunteer for the Coalition for the Homeless, Second Harvest Food Bank, community media projects, Cleveland Community Preservation Project, and countless other public interest organizations for over a decade.  He has been recognized by the Cleveland Plain Dealer and Free Times for his efforts helping the homeless, unemployed and working poor.  As a law student, Michael organized numerous student orientation workshops, community outreach programs, discussion panels, and voter registration initiatives.

Michael’s passion for law and infectious charisma are among the many qualities he brings to the table for each case and every client.  In his spare time, Michael is a tennis instructor and stand-up comedian, enjoys running, cooking and golf, and is a skilled guitarist and drummer.
